Our Story

Our Story

My name is Taylor Montgomery, and I was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. After graduating from C.E. Byrd High School, I moved to Ruston to pursue my bachelor’s degree in biology at Louisiana Tech University. During my time at Louisiana Tech, I became deeply involved in campus life, joining several organizations such as Alpha Delta Epsilon, Beta Beta Beta, Order of Omega, Sigma Kappa, and the Panhellenic Council. I had the honor of serving as the Panhellenic delegate and later as the President of Sigma Kappa. It was during these years that I discovered my passion for planning and executing events. I loved working with others to create memorable experiences and bring ideas to life, a passion that has continued to shape my journey.

After college, I moved to Washington D.C. to pursue graduate school at Georgetown University, studying Biotechnology. My passion for event planning continued to follow me to D.C., where I served as the social event coordinator for my graduate class, organizing events that brought people together and fostered a strong sense of community. Upon graduating, I transitioned into a role as a project manager for a non-profit focused on the development and adoption of regulatory science tools. In this role, I manage communication across cross-functional teams, maintain project deadlines and budgets, and ensure client satisfaction. My experience has further honed my ability to balance multiple responsibilities while keeping projects on track and aligned with the organization’s goals.

During my time in Washington D.C., my high school sweetheart, Andrew Montgomery, proposed to me in front of one of my favorite monuments, the Lincoln Memorial. It was a moment I will never forget, filled with love and joy. Although I cherished living in the nation’s capital, there truly is no place like home. Shortly after graduation, I decided to move back to Shreveport to be closer to family and friends. We now enjoy spending time with our loved ones and being actively involved in our church community. Our home is made even brighter by our two furry companions—Ash, our cat, and Wednesday, our lovable Great Dane—whom we adore dearly. Life in Shreveport feels like the perfect blend of family, faith, and a little bit of fun!
